PUBLIC NOTICE

Durham Township is presently accepting  resumes  for several appointments to the Uniform Construction Code Board of Appeals.  Experience in supervision of the construction trades, plumbing, electrical, engineering, architectural, fire protection, or other building trades essential.  Township residency preferred but not required.  Appointees would be required to attend periodic scheduled hearings on weekday evenings to review and rule on appeals received from a decision of our building inspector.  A set fee for attending an appeal will be provided.  Interested parties should forward their detailed resume to the township office or call 610-346-8911 for additional information.

The township is presently accepting “Letters of Interest” for the following positions:

 

· EAC (Environmental Advisory Council)

· Park & Rec Board

· PA UCC Board of Appeals (Alternates)

 

Letters should be addressed to the township manager at the township office.  Township residency and the availability to attend monthly meetings required.

MILL ROOF RENNOVATION

 

The Grist Mill roof is complete as of 09-10-2008.  Final payment will be forwarded upon receipt of required paperwork from contractor.

FALL “LARGE ITEM”

CLEAN-UP DAY

 

The Durham Township Fall large item clean-up day will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at the township building on Old Furnace Road from 8AM to 12Noon sharp

 

Township residents may bring several loads of unwanted furniture, electronics, TV’s, computers, appliances ($20 fee for Freon items; air conditioners, refrigerators, etc.), old wood, metal, lawn mowers/tractors, chain saws, tires (max 5) and almost any other “collectable treasure” you may wish to part with!  Please remove all gas.  Hazardous Waste (oil paint, insecticides, motor oil, batteries, etc.) and normal recycling NOT ACCEPTED.
