Township Building Meeting Room

 

Attendees:           Ken Klein, Tom Harbin, George Helwig, Lois Oleksa, Jim Pavlica & Cindy Skoriak

 

Quorum:             Yes

 

Secretary:           Joseph M. Kulick

 

Absent:                Pete Thomson

 

Zoning Officer Peter Bent and Township Engineer Scott Mease were also present.

 

Meeting called to order by Chairman Ken Klein at 7:40 PM.  All in attendance stood and recited the Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag.

 

Approval of Minutes from 06-01-2010 Meeting:  

Lois Oleksa requested to amend the draft minutes presented to include: “eliminating the last two (2) sentences of para “e” page 4-16 in our existing ZO.  The Chairman agreed.  Cindy Skoriak then made a motion to accept the Minutes as amended and Lois Oleksa seconded the motion.  Tom Harbin & Jim Pavlica abstained since they were not present at that meeting and all others agreed.  Motion passed and Minutes approved as amended.

Old Business:

 

Zoning Ordinance Update:

 

The commission resumed the update by reviewing Durham’s existing free-standing mobile home park ordinance:

  1. At draft ZO page 44; item 5(a) change 80 feet setback to 50 feet & existing street ROW to Ultimate ROW.
  2. At draft ZO page 44; item 5 change existing (b) to insert EO 1990-2; page 9; #4 and rearrange following sequence.
  3. At draft ZO page 44; item 5 (new c) 2nd sentence; change “a minimum 25 feet buffer area” to 50 feet and 503 to 502.
  4. At draft ZO page 45; item 5 (new f) (2) change Section 503 to Section 502.
  5. At draft ZO page 45; item 5 (new h) add “and shall be approved by township engineer” at end.
  6. At draft ZO page 45; item 5 (new i) eliminate “8 or more”.
  7. At draft ZO page 45; item 5 (new m) add “with county & township approval”.
  8. At draft ZO page 45; item 5 (new n) change 0.25 to 0.50 parking spaces per unit

Session stopped at page 47 #8 B-8 Private Camp.......

 

Next “work session” to be held on Tuesday, 07-27-2010 at 7:30 PM in the township building. There were no further comments or questions.

A motion to Adjourn was made by Tom Harbin and seconded by Lois Oleksa, all were in favor.  Meeting adjourned at @9:20 PM.  Next public meeting is scheduled for 08-03-2010.
