Township Building Meeting Room

 

Attendees:           Ken Klein, Pete Thomson, George Helwig, Lois Oleksa, & Cindy Skoriak

 

Quorum:             Yes

 

Secretary:           Joseph M. Kulick

 

Absent:                Members Tom Harbin, Jim Pavlica and Zoning Officer Peter Bent

 

Township Engineer Scott Mease was also present.

 

Meeting called to order by Chairman Ken Klein at 7:38 PM.  All in attendance stood and recited the Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag.

 

Approval of Minutes from 05-04-2010 Meeting:  

Pete Thomson made a motion to accept the Minutes as presented and Cindy Skoriak seconded the motion and all agreed.  Motion passed and Minutes approved as submitted.  

 

New Business:  None Presented

 

Old Business:

 

Zoning Ordinance Update:

 

The commission resumed the review of the draft ZO at Page 42; B. Residential Uses:

  1. Under “Group Homes” add existing ZO paragraph “c” pg 4-16 to replace draft ZO item  #(2)
  2. Also under “Group Homes” insert existing ZO paragraph “e” pg 4-16 (after deleting the last two (2) sentences) to become item # (5) and then rearrange remaining numbers in sequence.
  3. Under B-4 Duplex pg 44; draft ZO delete in entirety.
  4. Under B-5 Mobile Home Park pg 44; draft ZO...TABLE until we read our existing free standing ordinance on subject.
  5. Insert “Mobile Home” from existing ZO pg 4-13 g. into draft ZO pg 45 area.
  6. Under B-6 Apartment pg 45; draft ZO...Delete in entirety.
  7. Under B-7 Performance Subdivision, pg 46; draft ZO ....insert first sentence of existing ZO B-2 pg 4-8.
  8. Also under B-7 Performance Subdivision, pg 47 (d) Dwelling Unit Types draft ZO...remove existing (d) & (e) and insert existing ZO dwelling type definitions starting on pg 4-8 thru 4-14

The commission ended this review of the draft ZO at Page 47; B-8 Private Camp or Cottage Development.

 

Next “work session” to be held on Tuesday, 06-15-2010 at 7:30 PM in the township building. There were no further comments or questions.

A motion to Adjourn was made by Pete Thomson and seconded by George Helwig, all were in favor.  Meeting adjourned at @8:55 PM.  Next public meeting is scheduled for 07-06-2010.
